This is just a quick entry to say a massive congratulatiins to our resident founder, Tony, who is getting married tomorrow.

When we say 'married', we mean he's entering into a civil partnership with his partner of six years, Owen, but still good luck and congratulations anyway.

That is all.

Well, James and I are happy that our teams managed to win today. In case you weren't already, James supports Everton and I support Tranmere Rovers, even though my second team are FC Copenhagen, with my partner being Danish and a supporter of FCK (to give FC Copenhagen their nickname).

Rachael and Matthew, however, are in hiding at the moment and there no prizes for guessing why. How Liverpool could be so crap against Middlesbrough is anyone's guess...

Dear me, we haven't done much updating have we? Because this hasn't been updated since New Year's Day by James whilst the rest of us were in celebrating the New Year in Copenhagen, Denmark, with my Danish partner's family, I actually forgot this blog even existed. Someone even asked earlier me if I had a blog and I replied 'no, I don't blog' because I forgot all about this one - WHOOPS!

We must try harder...

As I'm the only scouser on here who can be bothered posting today (namely because the rest of them are in Denmark at the moment), I'd like to wish you all a very Happy New Year and all the best for 2009.

That is all.

So, the draw for the last 16 of the Champions League looks like this:

Chelsea v Juventus
Villarreal v Panathinaikos
Sporting v Bayern Munich
Atletico Madrid v Porto
Lyon v Barcelona
Real Madrid v Liverpool
Arsenal v Roma
Inter Milan v Manchester United

I would have loved to have seen the faces on the Lyon representatives' faces when it was announced they'd drawn against Barca. Something along the lines of 'oh sh*t, that's us going out, then' would most probably have been the look on their faces.

Personally, I hope we (Liverpool) do well against Real Madrid, but it would have been better if Manchester United had drawn against them, just for the LOLZ-factor. As it is, they've drawn against Jose's Inter Milan, so expect tears before bedtime when they play each other. Mind you, Inter are a bit dull, boring and crap this year... who'd have thunk it?!

Well, here it is, the very first post in thescousers, a journal made by five scousers for your entertainment. I'm Anthony (or Tony, for short) and I'm the co-owner of this journal with Matthew and I'm a Liverpool-born Tranmere Rovers supporter, so expect football-related banter galore from me, especially where Liverpool and Everton are concerned.

Talking of Liverpool, they have the chance to go three points clear at the top of the Premiership tomorrow should they beat West Ham, thanks to Arsenal beating Chelsea.
